Matthew Rodich is a fine artist and illustrator, currently living in the Greater Boston Area, but originated from the rural woods of Central Pennsylvania.  He takes inspiration from his Appalachian roots, everyday experiences  in New England, and his research for the “truth” to craft his conceptual and narrative acrylic paintings.  Stylistically, his work is a mix of folk art, symbolism and surrealism, and often focuses on editorial and fine art applications.  Rodich is fascinated with folklore, outlandish conspiracy theories, the paranormal, taxidermy, nautical flags, unusual occurrences  on the subway, and lobsters.  These interests inspire him to craft imaginary characters in absurd and uncanny acrylic paintings.

His work has been displayed in Italy, Los Angeles, and Beverly and Salem, Massachusetts.

Currently, he is working on a new body of work and looking for employment as a Fishmonger, Lighthouse Keeper, or as a Shellfish Constable.
