Matthew Rodich is a painter currently living on the South Shore of Massachusetts. He originated from the rural woods of Central Pennsylvania.  Rodich takes inspiration from his Appalachian roots, everyday experiences  in New England, and his research for the “truth” to craft his conceptual and narrative acrylic paintings.  Stylistically, his work is a mix of folk art, symbolism and surrealism.  Rodich is fascinated with folklore, the paranormal, taxidermy, nautical flags, unusual occurrences  on the subway, and lobsters.  These interests inspire him to craft imaginary characters in absurd and uncanny acrylic paintings.  His work has been displayed in Italy, Los Angeles, and Massachusetts.

Currently, he is crafting a new body of work in his dimly lit basement studio.
